Rule of Law in Crisis – Conference

Monday, May 18, 2026, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

The so-called rule-of-law crisis, diagnosed in numerous countries worldwide, including the European Union, has affected the effectiveness of human rights protection, both domestically and internationally. The historical and contemporary case studies of attempts to reinstate the rule of law demonstrate that it is more than mere black-letter law. The Rule of Law Clinic at CEU Democracy Institute and POLEMO research group at CEU cordially invite you to a conference where the main domestic, international and supranational challenges to the rule of law will be discussed.
